Two Going On Coffee-Addict-Anonymous
Monday, March 2nd, 2009You know your caffeine addiction is having a negative impact on your family when your two-almost-three-year-old sees you getting your morning coffee and you have a conversation that goes like this:
“Mommy? Can I have some coffee pwease Mommy PWEASE?” Big, dimpled smile.
“No, honey, eat your breakfast.”
“I NEED coffee.”
“You don’t need coffee. You’re two.”
“No, I’m not two. I’m FOUR!”
“Julie, you’re two, not four.”
“Yes I am. I’m four.” Cute giggle. My silly kid.
“Well, fine. You can pretend you’re four.” I’m not going to argue with a two-almost-three-year-old. This is ridiculous.
“Okay. Mommy, can I have some coffee?”
*sigh*
I thought I created just a chocoholic monster. Turns out, this kid can down a cup of coffee, too. Parent of the year award coming right up.
In case you’re wondering, NO, she did not get that cup of coffee she was begging for.
