A Moment of Disgusting Cuteness
Julie turns three next Wednesday.
She’s beyond excited because she wants presents and cake and a birthday party.
Now, I’m thrilled because she will be eligible to start preschool, which will give me several hours a week of just one child instead of two.
Luckily, she is *almost* as excited about preschool as she is about the inevitable moment when she gets to shove her little face into a pile of cake next week.
You know what she said (er, squealed, really) to me this evening?
“Mommy! I NEEEEED to go to preschool tomorrow to learn my ABCs!” A huge smile on her gorgeous face, giant eyes sparkling. Nevermind that my too-smart-for-her-own-good child already sings her ABCs, counts into the teens (thank you, Sesame Street), and knows most of her numbers and letters visually. She neeeeeeeds to learn them anyway. At school. Praise the Lord.
How freaking cute is that? Like, how on earth is it possible for such a little stinker to be that amazingly adorable? (If you’re not finding this so sickeningly cute you could barf, try a little harder to imagine this scenario.)
Pondering.
Next year, pack your bags, kid. It’s off to college!

lol, how sweet! lemme tell ya, there is a big difference between having just one kid around and having both. my son is so sweet and laid back, but life is just so much easier when he’s at school. i actually feel a little guilty for being happy that i get a break during the day.

Enjoy each stage .. including the college one.. *big grins* I am ready for my smart ass oldest to get married .. I love her but I secretly have a count down until she is 18. Is it so wrong to love your kids from afar .. far far away in my Kingdom of Flan.
