Eyeball Update

Okay, everything’s going to be okay.  It’s not Pinkeye, thank goodness.  It’s just some kind of irritation or an allergy.

But to be honest, I was a little alarmed because they did a vision check, and I am concerned that she may end up needing glasses.

My darling husband practically needs a white cane his vision is so bad.  If we didn’t live in an age where glasses and contacts exist, he’d be the village idiot instead of the brilliant man he is.

The eye exam included the nurse pointing to different shapes on a chart.  Julie could see the big ones, but the smaller ones that I could see… yeah, Julie called them “dots”.

It’s probably nothing.  I mean, attention plays a role in this, but moms just get a little concerned about these kinds of things.

If she ends up with glasses, then I’m going to have to design myself a shirt that says, “One kid is practically blind, the other has a crooked head.  I’ll blame the hubby.”

And I’ll pick out a cute, stylish pair of frames… not like the dorky glasses three sizes too big that James was forced to wear as a child.  I mean, really, what the hell were his parents thinking?  Were they living in a freaking cave?

No wonder the poor guy ended up a software engineer and stuck with me.  He was doomed from the start.
