Note To Self
Go back in time and kick your own ass for swearing you’d *never* let your kid throw a tantrum in public.
Underestimating the forces of an exhausted-to-the-point-of-hysterics 3-year-old and glaring at screaming children in the middle of Target once upon a time were just plain ignorant on your behalf.
They will throw a tantrum simply because they want to as they’re walking out of preschool, and they don’t care if everyone is staring at you like a demon is bursting from your forehead.
Silly, silly mom. You should have known better than to use the word “never“.

K did the opposite to me yesterday. as he was sitting on a bench at school i said “let’s go”, and in front of all the teachers and a couple students he looked at me, rolled his eyes, and stared forward without budging an inch. it was just as embarrassing as a tantrum. silly kids. bad behavior must be in the air…
