Stupid Things That People Say

In no particular order.

“I think liberals are what is wrong with society.” Yes, because all “liberals” are awful people who strive for a sinful, moral-less society… and all conservatives were made from the breath of God.
“That person is going to hell because they’re not a believer.” And let me get this straight… You were given the right to be the judge of that?
“Modern-day feminism is what is wrong with society.” Oh, my bad. You’re right. Equality for the sexes is utter bullshit. All women should do their best to be June Cleaver. Even single moms. Thank goodness so many companies pay men more to do lesser jobs than women!
“Homebirth is dangerous and irresponsible.” Do a little research on how safe common hospital interventions are and compare the statistics between homebirth and hospital birth… and then get back to me on that statement. Don’t like it? Don’t do it.
“You must be lacking attention at home if you’re breastfeeding in public.” Yes. My husband hates my breasts. That’s why I have to fight him off of me like an adolescent boy every time I flash a little boob. And did I mention that I’m an attention-seeking whore?
“Breastfeeding is disgusting.” I’m certain mother nature thinks so, too. That completely explains why breastmilk has been proven to be the best thing for a baby time and time again.
“Using birth control of any kind is sinful.” Sure. And everyone should have 10 kids because we’re all such great parents.
“Homosexuality is a choice. And gays are sinners. They’re going to hell.” And God favors judgmental shitheads because they’re not sinners?
“Everyone should homeschool. I don’t understand why anyone would send their kids to public school.” *cough* Yeah, because all parents have the time, desire, patience, social skills, education, etc… to school their own children. Oh, and all parents are literate, and all families have one parent that can stay home and do it.
“Homeschooling is just plain stupid. I mean, I’ve never met a homeschooled child who is well-adjusted or does as well as other kids academically.” Then you obviously don’t get out much. Look again.
