Note To Self
Do not allow hot metal to touch the back of your neck ever again. It will singe the skin right off and that fucking hurts.
While I am excited to announce that styling short hair is a million times easier than dealing with my once-long locks, I sort of never had to hold a styling-iron-thing anywhere near the back of my neck until now.
Owwwwwwie.

If you get a round hair brush you can use it while blow drying your hair to get the same effect as a curling iron. It is much easier with no burns. Just takes a few tries to get your hand to rotate the brush backwards while looking in the mirror. It is a really cute cut. I am growing mine out from that hair style now.

Ugh, I hate that. I’m so glad my hair is past my shoulders now

i’m with Rae…i use a round brush. i totally gave up on curling irons years ago.
it does take a little bit to get used to it, but ultimately it’s easier than a curling iron.

You know, I have that round brush/hair dryer thingy. It’s mine so you can’t have it, but they work well and don’t burn you. You could try one of those

And be careful around the temples, too. Been there, done that. Completely empathizing with you. I’ll be missing you all at 6 pm tonight. : )
