Because Sometimes You Just Need Help
I thought the day was going to plummet into the depths of shit, but it’s actually looking up a bit.
James and I decided it would be healthy to hire someone to help out with the kids a few times a week for a couple hours. That way I have some fairly uninterrupted time to work on my growing website jobs during the day. I am so busy in the evenings teaching dance that I have been struggling to find time to finish all my design work.
Luckily, we had a reference for a great babysitter who needs a job while she’s out of school for the summer. And oh my gosh, I must ask something:
Why the hell didn’t we think of this sooner?
I cannot believe how much work I’ve gotten done in one hour. It’s a huge relief, and it’s nice to just have some time to think without my monkeys climbing on me.
And because I’m feeling on top of things, I’m much less of a snot today. Thank goodness, huh? I’ll bet you were all ready to just shoot me and put me out of my misery after all the bitching and whining I’ve been doing for the last few days.
*sigh of relief*

Oh, but you live in the city now… I have a feeling there are enough nice young teens hanging around who need a babysitting job! Heck, even once a week so you can shower in peace is worth it!

I finally made the decision to get a mother’s helper this summer, too. When I brought up the idea to my hubby, (who regularly works 90 hrs a week and doesn’t help with the kids/house at all) he had the nerve ask me if I REALLY need help!!! I haven’t had my hair cut since January, the last time I tried the sitter fell through at the last minute, and I’m lucky if I get one morning a month to run errands with out the kids. The rest of the time I have the kids on my own. I can’t wait to work on one task for more than ten minutes in a row!! I hope your sitter works out well for you

Oh yay! I’m glad to see I’m not the only person doing it. I was starting to wonder if I *really am* just that pathetic to not be able to get any of my work done!

I have tons of family that are always saying they will keep Archer, but most of them have their own kids. So, I’m selfish and I don’t want to have to keep their kids so I don’t ask.
I made the mistake of asking, and now my cousin calls me all the time. Ususally I keep him for just a few hours, but still. He’s 3 and I have to get up at 7 to do it.
