Keeping My Promise

Yesterday I was dealing with a serious lack of creativity and motivation.

I picked our babysitter up, closed myself off into the dance room with my computer, and stared blankly at Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for about five minutes straight.  Usually, the ideas pour out of my head so fast that I can hardly get them on the computer screen before they race in the other direction.  But yesterday, well, yesterday I just wasn’t feeling the website design love.

So I opened up the Open Office document containing the file known as My Book instead and regained my sense of creativity.

And that’s when it hit me.  I really am doing this.  I am writing my book, just like I promised myself.  I was an exhilarating thought, and the words tasted like honey as I watched them sprinkle onto the page at record speed.

So in case you were wondering why the hell I only updated my blog once yesterday, there’s your answer.  I was busy keeping a promise to myself.

Can I ask the genre? I daydream about writing a book all the time, but seem to be better at character development than plot development. I actually had a dream the other night that you wrote a plot and then Jessica, Christina, Stephanie and I all helped you develop the characters and progress the plot. This of course was all brought on by my recent obsession with Twilight.
Good luck. I can’t wait to read it and help make it a NY Times bestseller.
