If I Wasn’t Sure *FOR SURE*…

Fang has confirmed that it is time to wean her from breastfeeding.  It’s not like she’s nursing a lot these days, anyway.  Usually, her 3-second attention span pops her off before she ever gets anything out.  The only time I can keep her on there longer is either first thing in the morning or late at night before bed (sometimes).

Ow, my cracked, bleeding nipple.

I thought it was just a nursing strike until she started trying to bite my boob clear off my chest.  Multiple times.  Like, hey!  Mom!  This nice, soft, squishy thing you keep forcing into my mouth?!  Damn, it tastes good.  Here, let me chomp a big piece off to gnaw on for awhile!

Ohmygawd.  It hurts so bad I could cry.

Yea that sounds like it might be time to wean there momma. The piranha used to come at me with her teeth too. It was def time with us. I don’t regret it one bit.

ouch! that sucks. are you going to give her formula, or does she eat enough solids to make up for it? i’m asking, ’cause i really wanna wean, but E is still very much a boob baby. i’m gonna bring it up at her ped’s appointment, but sometimes it’s best to get advice from BTDTs!

Ouch! Sorry she is biting down on you…I hope she stops soon. Ash does it from time to time and only sits still to nurse at bedtime and in the middle of the night but I just can’t get myself to wean. I didn’t get much from pumping yesterday so DC had to attempt toddler formula – she hated it and refused it loudly. Fortunately, I produced enough today to cover her tomorrow. I hope she takes whole milk better than she did the formula.

While I haven’t nursed in 5 months, I can only imagine since Archer has been biting me just for the hell of it. Hopefully it will be better soon!!
