Unhealthy Addiction

I can’t get enough of office and school supplies.

No, really.  It’s unnatural and a little disturbing that I get insanely excited at the image of apple-shaped Post-Its.  And brightly-colored pens.  Fresh, clean notebooks.  Florescent pencil-tip erasers.  Mechanical pencils.  Organizers.  Rulers.  Pencil pouches.  PAPER CLIPS.  STICKERS.  I COULD GO ON FOR DAYS!

Ohmygawd and the smell.  The heavenly scent of a new box of crayons brings a huge, stupid grin to my face every single time.

So the fact that it’s school-supplies-shopping season gives me a near-orgasmic thrill every time I walk into Target and see the rows of backpacks lined up at the end of the store.

Must. Stay. Away. From. School. Supplies.

Did you know that my favorite Christmas present this year was a pack of 84 multi-colored gel pens?  It’s true.  Sometimes, I open the pack just to organize them by coordinating colors and admire my handiwork afterward.

And I like to stare at them.  They make me happy.

No, I don’t have a problem.  Really.

LMAO Tamra. I love the smell of crayons too, and play-doh for that matter it takes me back to childhood I guess.

I’m the same way, just looking for an excuse to buy new stuff…even though my “notebook” weighs 7.5 pounds and I really don’t need pens

I’m totally a pen girl, too. I’ll have to show you my favorite one. And post-it’s, can’t have too many post-it’s. You’re not weird, you’re wonderful.

as i was perusing the special aisle set up for school supplies in my local walmart, i *almost* bought you some apple shaped post-its. i think you’ll have to wait for your birthday, though. at least i know what to get you… post-its and maybe one of those huge boxes of crayola crayons with more colors than any kid ever knew what to do with. i’ve always wanted one of those. ;)

I have the same addiction, and mine is so out of control that while at Michael’s the other day I saw the teacher’s section with all those fun, scalloped edged borders that you put around bulletin/chalkboards and stood there trying to think of a way I could use them (I’m not a teacher and never have been)…I also admired the lesson plan books that matched the borders :)
