Mr. and Mrs. Naughty

A year ago I swore I was going to pop like a bloated tick, but that didn’t stop me from agreeing to model *gasp* naked for an artist/photographer.

(Don’t worry, these are, um, sorta’ safe for work… I’m not posting any titty shots.  Sorry.)

The point behind the multiple shoots we did was to portray the pure beauty of nature’s most incredible event- the continuation of humankind.

Considering all the infinite, miniature details that must go absolutely perfectly for a living, breathing human being to form inside a woman’s body, it’s a wonder how life truly continues to move forward.  Only a miracle could make the process of conception, pregnancy, and birth possible… which is one of the main reasons I am a firm believer that somehow, God exists and that He/She must love us dearly.

In a week, my little monster, aka Fang, Peanut, Fat One, Stinker-doodle, Pooper-Doops, Mama’s-Baby-Face, etc… aka April turns one.

How that little girl went from an oddly-shaped bump in my belly to that incredibly beautiful, shiny-haired baby in her daddy’s arms is beyond me.

There are moments when she’s such a pain in the ass I want to scream to James, “Why didn’t you pull out?“.  But in all honesty, I can’t imagine my life without her infectious giggle, precious dimples, and chunky little thighs.

The fact that, somehow, the man I love with all my heart and soul managed to create this insanely adorable human with me is utterly beyond comprehension sometimes.

And he was so proud of that fact that he even posed naked with me.

    That is a beautiful picture! Your husband seems like such a sweet man.

    I love April, seriously she has to be one of the cutest babies to ever live!

    beautiful pictures! the only regret i have from pregnancy, is that i never had any pictures taken of me. pictures of me are few and far between. grrr.

    i was joking around with my husband a couple days after i met him, and told him to send me a naked picture…and he did. .. he was really interested in photography at the time, and did an “Atlas” pose, with all the important parts neatly shadowed out and naturally covered. it was cool.

    again, love your pictures. :)
