Would/Did you circumcise your son?

I don’t feel like it’s my place to judge someone for their parenting decisions, and I have full respect for both sides of this particular spectrum.

However, I personally would never circumcise my son unless it was a medical necessity because… well, it just doesn’t seem natural to me to snip a perfectly healthy piece of skin off of an infant’s body. Plus, there is not enough of a medical benefit to the procedure to convince me that it’s the better thing to do. If I ever have a boy (James, please get a vasectomy, I just know you’re gonna get me pregnant again one of these days if you don’t, and besides, it just feels so much better *without* a condom…), I’m all for keeping his perfect little penis exactly the way that God made it… whether his daddy’s parents made a different decision or not. Again, that’s just the choice that I would make, and I don’t believe it’s the right choice for everyone.

Luckily, James is in agreement with my reasoning. Otherwise I’d have to go at his member with a cigar snipper to prove my point.

No, I wouldn’t actually cut him. I like his penis waaaay too much to alter it.

Note To Self

Check the box before buying it next time.

If I ever get cancer of the twat, I’m blaming it on the fact that I grabbed the scented tampons by accident and stuck one up there before I realized it.  Something just seems wrong about sticking an object up in that delicate of a region that has been chemically enhanced to smell like “fresh scent”.

10 Things I Love About Seattle

Thursday, October 1st, 2009
  1. The smell of this place… rain, greenery, fresh, and clean.
  2. The diversity- young, old, gay, straight, white, black, and everything in between… coexisting fairly peacefully.
  3. The friendliness- I have never met a warmer, more welcoming community in my life.  Heck… my neighbors join me for coffee on my porch, how cool is that?!
  4. The different neighborhoods- every single one has its own feel, culture, and appearance.  It’s beautiful.
  5. The opportunity- if you wanna try it, it’s here and accessible.
  6. The dancing- holy crap, it’s available pretty much EVERY night of the week.  West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, Salsa, Ballroom… you name it.
  7. The drivers… okay, so they park like absolute morons, but they’re so much more polite than the asshole Arizona drivers.  Probably because it’s nice and cool and they’re not sweltering with their skin melting into their seats.
  8. The weather!  It’s actually AUTUMN here.  Seattle has seasons!  The leaves are starting to change color, the wind feels different than last week, and the colder weather is blow in.  I’m wearing a thick sweater and booties!  And did I mention IT RAINS HERE?!  ‘Nuff said.
  9. My house.  Damn, this place is incredible.  I love it SO MUCH that I just ooze pride all over it.  I smile every time I see it.  It’s just perfect for us.  AND HAVE YOU SEEN MY INCREDIBLE PORCH?
  10. My husband loves his job.  Loves it.  And that makes for a happy hubby, which makes for a much better marital relationship.  That in itself would have been worth the move.

Now if only my family and the rest of my Tucson friends would move up here, this place would be absolutely perfect.
