10 Things I Love About Seattle
- The smell of this place… rain, greenery, fresh, and clean.
- The diversity- young, old, gay, straight, white, black, and everything in between… coexisting fairly peacefully.
- The friendliness- I have never met a warmer, more welcoming community in my life. Heck… my neighbors join me for coffee on my porch, how cool is that?!
- The different neighborhoods- every single one has its own feel, culture, and appearance. It’s beautiful.
- The opportunity- if you wanna try it, it’s here and accessible.
- The dancing- holy crap, it’s available pretty much EVERY night of the week. West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, Salsa, Ballroom… you name it.
- The drivers… okay, so they park like absolute morons, but they’re so much more polite than the asshole Arizona drivers. Probably because it’s nice and cool and they’re not sweltering with their skin melting into their seats.
- The weather! It’s actually AUTUMN here. Seattle has seasons! The leaves are starting to change color, the wind feels different than last week, and the colder weather is blow in. I’m wearing a thick sweater and booties! And did I mention IT RAINS HERE?! ‘Nuff said.
- My house. Damn, this place is incredible. I love it SO MUCH that I just ooze pride all over it. I smile every time I see it. It’s just perfect for us. AND HAVE YOU SEEN MY INCREDIBLE PORCH?
- My husband loves his job. Loves it. And that makes for a happy hubby, which makes for a much better marital relationship. That in itself would have been worth the move.
Now if only my family and the rest of my Tucson friends would move up here, this place would be absolutely perfect.

*cry* you’re making me miss it there. Especially the season change. I want to see the leaves change and have a use for my winter clothes again.

Oh, and working to cement the moving back up there plans. If we can do what we’re talking about, might be about 2 years, instead of 3.
