Wondering and pubes. Yes, *pubes*.

Am I the last woman on earth with pubic hair?

Maybe I’m just stuck in the 70s, but I really don’t understand the appeal of bald pussy.  It’d freak me out if I saw a man with a hairless genital region, so do they really prefer their women to look like prepubescent girls down there?  Is it really sexier?  Besides, pubes provide more cushion for the pushin’, if you know what I mean.  I think I’d be rubbed raw without them there to help protect my skin from the friction of late-night-wild-crazy-monkey sex.

And on a side note, how the hell does a shaved cooch avoid serious razor burn and a multitude of ingrown hairs?  Owie!

Answers?  Anyone?

Men, feel free to jump in on this one… I know you read this… just most of you are too shy to comment.  Unless it’s about circumcision.  Then you all jump in and bite.

I can name one benefit of the shave/wax. You don’t have to worry about spitting hair that gets in your mouth during oral. I think that it is all nice shaved, waxed, natural bush. The only reason I shave more than just the bikini is for said reason. Plus, my husband likes it that way for easy oral. He shaves too so it is very fair play. I just shave with a disposable. I rarely ever get nicked or razor burns. The hardest part is finding a shaving cream that doesn’t irritate my nether regions.

I totally agree with you! I feel like the only person without a bald vagina!

Haha… Ok I admit it. I shave the whole thing. I guess I just like everything neat and tidy and my southern regions are no exception. I use a disposable razor and the only time I’ve had problems was when I was pregnant. I had Mike hold a mirror for me becuause I couldn’t see anything below my belly and I butchered the whole thing.. blood everywhere.

I just use a buzz clipper with a #1 guard for the main bush area ;) and a disposable razor to neaten the edges. I feel a lot cleaner when Aunt Flo visits and just better groomed in general. I find that regular conditioner works best for shaving and doesn’t irritate my skin the way shave gel does.

  5. Tamra Says:

Ah, LaRaeven, I guess that definitely would be a benefit…

    Except… *blush*… um, I don’t like receiving oral, so I guess I’m a freak in more ways than one…

I actually shave for comfort. Once I started shaving, after it got to a certain point, I just couldn’t stand it. There are things that you can do to prevent the razor burn. I really don’t get it anymore. and I’ve never had a cut. An added bonus is that Kyle’s been keeping himself shaved since before we were together…pretty much for the same reasons.

LOL. well… i don’t really get razor burn, so i don’t have to worry about that part. i just shave *everything* with lathered ivory soap. mostly, i just like things to be a little…neater. when it comes down to it, it’s also easier to clean. (especially after wild crazy messy sticky monkey sex) i don’t care for the pre-pubescent look either… but i also like to keep the hair minimal, so when i just don’t feel like trimming and i already have the razor in my hands… off it all goes. it grows back in a week anyways. i’m pretty neurotic about changing and rearranging, and making different shapes on my twat is just one way i can feed the need for change without any permanent damage. :D when i was pregnant, i just let it go wild, but the first thing i did after i healed up was shave/trim around the edges.

i prefer a man to be shaved clean in that area… there’s nothing worse than getting his pubic hair stuck between my teeth, and bare skin is cleaner than hairy skin.

The disposable razor has worked for me. I use the noxzema bikini razor and no bumps, no cuts. I’ve also Bikini Zone gel to help with irritation, but witch hazel works just as well.

I didn’t chance it with a razor while I was pregnant. I’m not that cordinated when I can see what I am doing! I braved waxing during that time — if I had the time to go to the salon and the funds I’d probably would have kept going this route.

Aveeno makes a very thick shave gel that works wonders for this purpose!a

I have horribly sensitive skin so I choose to not go bald, plus I think that’s a little creepy. I like to keep it trimmed and on occasion I go shorter and use a razor but instead of going against the hair, I go in the same direction because otherwise I will get razor burn and ingrown hairs. Also I like Coochy shave cream you get at sex toy stores, it seems to work best for me. Scotty doesn’t shave or trim, though it was a concern of his at first, it has never been an issue for me: that or the fact that he is gloriously uncircumcised- just thought I’d throw that out there ;-)

Holy cow, ya’ll. I’m behind the times… maybe I’m just going to have to toughen up and shave it off.

  12. stacia Says:

Do you go big 70’s bush? If so I would recommend gradually going in with the trimming, then shorter trim, then bald. If you go from rain forest to desert, then shock factor is really high. Just my personal feelings.

  13. Tamra Says:

LMAO! No… It doesn’t really grow to those proportions, thank goodness! Just some grooming around the bikini line is all I usually do.

  14. stacia Says:

LOL. GOOD! LOL If you do choose to the route, start with a man’s beard shaver so you can set the settings.

  15. Denielle Says:

I shave it bare. I am totally creeped out by hair on anyone other than on your head. I told my DF I wasn’t giving oral unless he was shaved. YUCK! I just like thats its cleaner and I think DF enjoys it more when giving oral too. I’ve never had razor burn, in grown hair or cut myself. Even when pregnant. A little more challenging when pregnant and at some point while pregnant you just deal with that fact there will be spots you missed but whatever! lol

Thanks for the discussion though Tamra! I always wondered what other people did. I know…. kind of crazy… but makes you curious!

  16. Tamra Says:

I know. It’s a bizarre question for me to ask, but it’s really just one of those morbid curiosity things!

I’ve always trimmed for the same reason I pluck my eyebrows, if I didn’t it would be terrifying! One Valentine’s Day I was eight months pregnant and feeling very fat and incredibly ugly so I was in the shower and decided if I couldn’t be hot I could definitely be funny. So I shaved a heart, I got such a great reaction from my hubby that I’ve been doing a “holiday display” ever since. I think of it as expressing myself without the commitment of a tattoo.

  20. Mia Says:

Holy crap! Love the video, and the “holiday” idea! I couldn’t imagine trying to shave when 9 months prego, but I’m kinda with Denielle in that I hate hair. My legs might get a lil outta control, but nothing else does, I just hate the way it feels. Plus it makes that time of the month cleaner.

  22. David Says:

Nope, you’re not the only one left, and not all men like it naked down south. Trimmed is nice; shaved is creepy, IMO.
