Meet Ralph, My Latest Passion

I’m a spoiled, rotten brat.

Much to some of my friends’ dismay (because they work for Microsoft), I am now the proud owner of a brand spankin’ new MacBook.

And I love it!

My computer, which has been dying a slow, painful death for a few months solid, finally choked and gagged on its last breath yesterday.  Hence, no blogging.  And no being able to work on the website I was committed to finish this weekend.  No listening to tunes and downloading new songs for my next deejay gig.  And worst of all, no access to all the fabulous blogs I read on a daily basis.

Luckily, my wonderful (and now completely broke) hubby knew he had no choice but to get me a MacBook once my Ebay-bought Thinkpad died, so he sighed in defeat when it croaked yesterday.

Lucky for me, that inevitable moment arrived, so he and I headed to the mall today to make a trip to one of my favorite stores ever… dum-da-dummmmm… the Apple store!  And I walked out carrying a new laptop, which I have loving named “Ralph”.

Ralph and I are going to be inseparable now.  It was love at first sight.  He had me squealing like a school girl as I was undressing him from the snazzy suit he came in.  He’s soft and clean and perfect.  Absolutely beautiful.  And I love the way he forces me to try new things, like stroking him with two fingers and sometimes four, depending on what kind of result I’m trying to achieve.  Right now we’re in the exciting “getting to know one another” stage, but it’s a match made in heaven.

Currently, Ralph is enduring the process of having my obese music library transferred onto his hard drive.  Luckily, he’s strong as hell and can take the weight like a pro. He’s much tougher than my last laptop, a PC (sorry Microsoft friends… don’t kill me).

And now, if you would be so kind to excuse me, I have to go make sweet, passionate love to my Ralph.  I’m sure I’ll update you on our relationship shortly.

    I absolutely love my MacBook. In the past 7 years, I have had 3 different laptops. I’ve had my MacBook for almost 4 of those. It’s the only one to last. Have fun with Ralph!

    Jesus, this is like reading the script for those Mac vs. PC commercials… ;) I don’t care what brand you’re using though, as long as the blogs keep comin’! <3
