Welcome To My World

A poem I wrote back in high school that I recently re-discovered:

“Jumbled Thoughts”

If I spoke

I smell sex and candy…

As I think

I sure wish that song

would get out of my head!

I’m sure my friends

Oh no! I forgot I had a test!

Would ignore me

Oh- there he is…

I think my family

I’m gonna melt he’s so hot!

Would go nuts

I wonder if he’s

gonna look my way…

It’s so distracting

Nope-there he goes.

What a bummer…

Oh, I need CHOCOLATE!

If I wrote

Come to think of it, I’m…

Hey! I have piano today!

…starving.

The way I think

Starving and depressed.

I wish I could get some…

Oh crap! I walked into…

sleep.

that stupid chair again!

I think the world would

think I’m crazy.

Welcome to my attention-deficit little world.

I still think exactly like that, except now I’m better at focusing on the task at hand. Thank goodness for Prozac. Maturity helps a pinch as well.
