Postpartum Depression Survivor

Monday, January 25th, 2010

I keep meaning to add these as permanent stickers to my homepage, but I haven’t asked my hubby to do it yet. So for now I’m gonna post them here. If you are a postpartum depression/ anxiety/ OCD/ psychosis sufferer or survivor, check out Katherine Stone’s blog, Postpartum Progress for tons of support… and for these fabulous badges!

Things That Drive Me To Insanity

Monday, January 25th, 2010
In case you’re ever wondering what drove me to lose my mind in the first place, I’ve conjured up a little list to help clarify.
  1. Being cut off while I’m trying to explain myself, especially during an argument.
  2. When someone repeats themselves OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
  3. People who think they’re always right no matter what.
  4. Liars
  5. When my kids perform stunts fit for the circus as I’m running towards them and screaming, “STOP!”.
  6. Adult babies
  7. Racist shitheads. Period.
  8. Being laughed at when I’m pissed off.
  9. Slow drivers in the left lane.
  10. Fuckers that take advantage of my doormat status.
  11. Know-it-alls
  12. People who constantly post extremist political propaganda all over their facebook page, which ultimately ends up all over my newsfeed (and yes, I know I can block them, but it doesn’t make it any less annoying).
  13. Dumbasses who play games because they’re too chicken to speak up.
  14. Being treated as if I don’t exist.

And oh, the lists I could create if I had all day.

What drives you into a straight jacket?

Babies. Hrumph.

Monday, January 25th, 2010

People who repeat themselves over and over and over and over and over and… well, you get the picture… really poke at my nerve endings with a Very. Sharp. Needle. And I hate needles.

Oh, and then when said people also consistently cut you off to talk about how they suffered [insert something painful and kind of disgusting here] ten billion times worse than you will ever know… well, that just really takes the cake.

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE! What if those people also get completely pissy, manipulative, and nasty if they don’t get exactly what they want? Do we have a good word for those sorts of people?

I got it! They’re babies.

Freaking adult babies.

But, you know, I don’t know anyone like that, of course. Because it would just be wrong and horrible and awful of me to label anyone that way.

And you don’t know anyone like that, either. Right?
