On the subject of birth control…
After an obsessive amount of thought, research, a consultation, and conversation with my blog readers, I have decided that the IUD is not a good birth control option for me for several reasons.
For now, I’m going to stay on The Pill at least until the end of this cycle, then I may or may not continue it for another 3 cycles, since that’s all I have on refills. After that, I’m not going to take it anymore. Number one, I don’t really like taking it; and number two, it’s probably not a safe thing for someone like me to take for an extended period of time. Plus, I keep stressing that it’s making me fat. Stupid, I know.
As far as birth control in the future, I’m thinking abstinence will just have to do. I’m sick of dealing with it, and I don’t want to chance getting pregnant again. And condoms just suck.
Besides, my vibrator is available whenever I’m up for it, and there’s absolutely zero stress or emotional bullshit involved. It’d be a much simpler sex life if we were exclusive.

Im curious why the IUD was not a good option? I admit I don’t know that much, although I do know that a previous girlfriend was on the pill and was a hormonal bitch. She would go from being fine to yelling and bitching at me frequently. After a couple of months, I told her I couldn’t deal with that anymore and was planning on ending it. She decided it was the pill that was causing her mood swings and went the IUD rout which helped (some). Anyway another girl I had a relationship with not too long ago couldn’t use the pill because of kidney and other health issues and so she went with the 6 month shot. We didn’t last long after she went that rout, but she seemed to think it was the best choice (again I don’t know why, just know thats what she went for).

Oh I guess I probably could have found out the answers to my questions had I noticed the “Popular Posts” section about birth control options.

Yup… the link I posted answers your question
.
Short answer: Extremely retroverted uterus= very likely that I would have to go through the pain of having one inserted with no luck. I also have prolapse, which makes my periods really uncomfortable, and a non-hormone IUD would most likely add to the pain. And as for Mirena… it’s very expensive, and again, there’s a good possibility that it couldn’t be inserted.

Pull out always, always worked for me, but James has to be very strong minded.
