Running Its Course

I head back to Seattle this afternoon. Sick. Still very, very sick.

I finally went to a health clinic yesterday to see what the hell is going on. I avoid doctors at all costs for colds and flus and other common illnesses because I’ve learned that 90% of the time, I end up spending money for them to tell me something I already know with a diagnosis that involves something like, “It’s viral. It just needs to run it’s course. Use some [insert over-the-counter medicine of which I've already been popping lethal doses]. Call us if it doesn’t clear up.”

Yesterday’s trip to a health professional left me with the knowledge that I’m hacking and coughing to death from some “viral infection” that would not be helped with the use of antibiotics. It just has to run its course, and I should use Sudafed to help lessen the snot production.

Oh, and this crap is contagious.

I’m sure everyone on the flight will thank me next week.

Yeah… your family too. There is no hope at this point, I think we’re ALL going to get sick now, so thanks for bringing your Seattle germs to us :P

Sorry to hear it. I had that about 4 times between October and December. So far since we’ve been back in school I’ve been ok. Hope you feel better soon.
